Installing Husqvarna Handguard kit

I recently picked up stronger handle guards for my Norden 901 Expedition.  It came with some already but they were fully plastic and already loosening off.

I wanted something more robust so, I could either get some Barkbusters or the OEM equivalent at a much better price. Part# 63502979000AB

They look and feel good and strong - having an embedded aluminum bar for more strength.

HOWEVER; careful on the install - the instruction start off by telling you to cut the existing handlebar and grips back by 20cm. WTF - that is not needed for the Norden 901.  DO NOT cut your handlebars; it's not needed. I installed fully and completely without cutting anything.

For a Norden 901... Do NOT do the Preparation steps asking you to cut the handle-bar or rubber handles.

Jump straight to the Assembly steps:


My Install:

First finger tight only. I tighten everything at the end.


Then I decided to paint the handleBar brackets black.
